The Fiat 500 range is wide and includes different versions that adapt to a wider public. In addition to the hatch version, there is a convertible variant and the practical Fiat 500 3+1, as well as a crossover model called the Fiat 500X. The most versatile option without sacrificing the compact size and performance of the electric system is the 500 3+1 and its practical hatchback.
This model differs mainly from the other versions by including three doors instead of two. With these features, the Fiat 500 electric wins in functionality, with a simplified access to the rear seats that allows entering and exiting the vehicle without difficulties. In addition, small children now have an easier time getting into the Fiat 500e with the 3+1 version, without compromising trunk space or interior roominess.
Versatility-oriented design
The exterior design of the Fiat 500 3+1 is common to the rest of the 500 range. In addition to the two front doors, there is a third door at the rear left. This door opens upside down, so there is no fixed B-pillar, facilitating access to the rear seats thanks to its large opening. Once this third door is closed, the styling remains minimalist, with no handles or other visible elements.
The elegant and modernist style continues in the body of the three-door electric Fiat 500. Clean surfaces, rounded volumes and a straight line running along the sides. In addition, the elegant split LED headlights, the characteristic grille with the 500 logo, the roof spoiler and the C-shaped taillights are also present on the exterior.
The bodywork of the 500 3+1 is available in six different paints: Rose Gold, Celestial Blue, Mineral Grey, Onyx Black, Ocean Green and Gelato White. In addition, there are three different types of wheels in 15", 16" and 17" sizes.
Inside the Fiat 500 3+1 you will find a modern and technological cabin, with a digital instrument panel, a leather steering wheel with horizontal spokes and a central touchscreen for the infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The floating center console splits to provide a lower console located between the front seats, which are upholstered in anthracite gray cloth. The cabin of the three-door 500e offers space for four passengers (2+2), while the trunk boasts 185 liters of cargo space.
Motor, battery and autonomy
The mechanical offer of the Fiat 500 3+1 includes a 100% electric engine developed entirely by Fiat. The engine offers a power of 87 kW (118 hp) and a torque of 220 Nm, powered by a 42 kWh battery with which homologates (WLTP) a range of 314 kilometers in combined cycle, or up to 441 kilometers in urban use. Of course, it has a Zero Emissions label from the DGT as an electric car.
The Fiat 500e offers technologies that improve efficiency and autonomy. Of particular note is the Sherpa Mode, a driving program that adjusts the parameters of the propulsion system to save energy and help you reach your destination. Single-pedal driving is also possible thanks to the different engine holding modes, allowing you to improve range. It also includes regenerative braking, so efficiency is guaranteed with the 500e.
As for recharging the battery, the 500 electric offers fast charging with a power of up to 85 kW, so you can add 50 kilometers of range in just 5 minutes or reach 80% of the battery's full charge level in 35 minutes. At home and with a 7.4 kW Wallbox you can complete a charge from 15% to 80% of the battery level in 4 hours.
