The engines of the new A-Class 2021

The new Mercedes A-Class 2021 is characterized by the wide mechanical offer. It is available in an assortment of four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines, as well as a plug-in hybrid EQ Power. The A-Class 180 is the range-entry option among the gasoline engines, with 136 hp and a six-speed manual or seven-speed 7G-DCT automatic transmission. The Mercedes A-Class 200 shares engine and transmission options with the A 180, but boosts power to 163 hp. The A 250 4MATIC is the balanced choice between performance and efficiency. With 224 hp and 7G-DCT transmission, it is fast, powerful and with a combined fuel consumption of 6.9 l/100 km.

The range of diesel engines starts with the A-Class 180 d 116 hp. Above, the Mercedes A-Class 200 d raises the power of its engine up to 150 hp and allows you to choose between front-wheel drive or the effective all-wheel drive system 4MATIC Mercedes Benz. The most powerful diesel engine in the range is the A-Class 220 d 190 hp. All diesel engines of the 2021 A-Class are available with 8G-DCT eight-speed automatic transmission.

Finally, the Mercedes AMG range adds two more options to the mechanical offer. The A 35 4MATIC and its 306 hp output are controlled by a fast seven-speed SPEEDSHIFT DCT AMG sport automatic transmission. The second option is only available on the Mercedes A-Class 2021 Compact.
