The most powerful option in the range is the GLA 45 S 4MATIC+. Together with a DCT 8G automatic transmission and an advanced 4MATIC+ drive system, it delivers 421 hp as the most powerful option in the compact SUV market.
Among the efficient diesel engines are the GLA 200 d and GLA 200 d 4MATIC, both with 150 hp and front or all-wheel drive 4MATIC. The second option is the GLA 220 d 4MATIC, with up to 190 hp and all-wheel drive. All diesel engines of the new GLA 2021 are associated with an 8G-DCT automatic transmission.
The plug-in hybrid GLA
The engine range of the Mercedes GLA 2021 is completed with the addition of a plug-in hybrid version EQ Power, the GLA 250 e. The GLA's most efficient option combines a 160 hp gasoline engine with a 75 kW (102 hp) electric motor, for a resulting combined output of 218 hp. A 15.6 kWh lithium-ion battery allows it to travel up to 69 kilometers in electric mode on a single charge.
