The new Mercedes EQS is the first luxury sedan with battery-electric propulsion. Up to 770 kilometers of electric range: the range of motorizations
The Mercedes EQS is one of the electric cars with the longest range on the market. It is initially available with two versions, both equipped with a 107.8 kWh lithium-ion battery. The base model is the EQS 450+, equipped with a single electric motor, rear-wheel drive and 330 hp of power. The EQS 580 4MATIC, meanwhile, is the most powerful version in the range. It features two electric motors with a combined output of 520 hp and all-wheel drive. This version needs only 4.1 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h and both models have a top speed of 210 km/h.
The new EQS can travel up to 770 kilometers without recharging (according to the WLTP cycle). When the battery is depleted, 15 minutes connected to a DC fast-charging station increases the range to 300 kilometers. Going from 10% to 80% of the charge level is possible in just 35 minutes connected to a 110 kW fast charging station. Meanwhile, a 240-volt home wallbox can do the job in just over 11 hours.
Mercedes Benz EQS, technological revolution
The EQS is a technological revolution. Like the new S-Class, the EQS focuses on comfort and driver assistance. Its features include augmented reality for navigation and a large 77-inch head-up display with augmented reality.
