The Opel Mokka-e is updated and presents a series of important changes that affect from its nomenclature to the mechanical section. The new Opel Mokka Electric is now more powerful, more efficient and with more autonomy, thus establishing itself as one of the most interesting electric SUVs on the market. The 100% electric version of the Opel Mokka premieres a new set of engine and battery to increase their performance and performance.

The Mokka Electric follows Opel's new canon to identify its all-electric vehicles. Following the debut of the new Opel Astra Electric, the Mokka-e changes its name while introducing a major upgrade to its propulsion system, allowing it to improve both power and homologated range.

The Mokka was the first Opel model to sport the brand's new front end, the Opel Vizor, later adopted by other models such as the Opel Crossland, and was also the first Opel to feature the fully digitized Pure Panel instrumentation with dual digital displays for both the instrument cluster and infotainment system. Similarly, the new generation of the German SUV is equipped with internal combustion engines and a new electric version available since its launch, which today has been updated with new specifications.

In addition to the change in its name, the new Opel Mokka Electric debuts a new generation propulsion system. The basis of this mechanical assembly is a new electric motor with an output of 115 kW (156 hp) and a maximum torque of 260 Nm. This motor represents a 15% improvement in power compared to the previous model. At the same time, energy consumption has been reduced to 15.2 kWh/100 km, making the electric Mokka an even more efficient SUV.

On the other hand, a newly developed battery increases its energy capacity to 54 kWh. It is located under the bodywork so as not to detract from the interior and trunk space, allowing the Mokka Electric to remain as practical and versatile. In addition, it improves by up to 20% its homologated range (WLTP) in combined cycle, going from the initial 338 kilometers to 406 kilometers of range.

The battery contributes to lowering its center of gravity and improving road holding. But it also provides enough electric power to enable the electric Opel Mokka to go from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 10 seconds and to reach a top speed electronically limited to 150 km/h.

When the battery is depleted, it can be recharged to 80% of its capacity in just 30 minutes thanks to the 100 kW DC fast charge. In addition to DC, the Mokka Electric supports three-phase AC charging thanks to the 11 kW on-board charger, either through a Wallbox or with a cable for a domestic socket. Also standard are regenerative braking, energy recovery mode B and three driving programs: Eco, Normal and Sport.
