The 2008 is part of the Peugeot SUV range. The compact option within the family has been designed as a multipurpose vehicle, efficient both in urban travel and long road trips. Its features allow it to become a comfortable and spacious vehicle, with high quality finishes and materials, and a complete technological equipment at your service.
Peugeot 2008 features
Introduced in 2019, the second generation of the Peugeot 2008 SUV was a major qualitative leap for an urban, versatile and practical crossover. The 2008 improves on all the features of its predecessor, with an exterior design inspired by the Peugeot 3008, an interior where the new Peugeot i-Cockpit 3D is the protagonist, a complete technological and safety equipment, and a wide and efficient range of engines.
The Peugeot 2008 represents the brand's commitment to the B-SUV segment of urban crossovers. It is a vehicle that surprises with its dimensions and particularly powerful and distinctive design. It also does so by offering a spacious interior with a large trunk capacity, all in a small format ideal for daily trips around town.
Available with both combustion engines and an efficient 100% electric version, the new 2008 was one of the pioneers of electrified mobility within its segment. All these features of the Peugeot 2008 merge with a range of finishes and versions where finding the model that best suits your needs is easier than ever.
In 2023, the Peugeot 2008 has received a major update that introduces changes in terms of aesthetics, equipment and engines. This renewal involves the arrival of an improved electric version, a hybrid variant (planned for early 2024) and the latest advances in safety and driving assistance.
Peugeot 2008 exterior
With a powerful and distinctive style, the exterior of the Peugeot 2008 is sculptural and attractive. The balanced lines and overall proportions are those of an SUV, with a set back windshield resulting in a more horizontal hood and a set with a lot of visual strength. In addition, it offers a muscular appearance and a high sense of security.
The front now displays a new vertical grille with a lot of character shared with the 3008, a sculpted hood and LED daytime running lights divided into three strands simulating the claws of a feline. Also new are the LED headlights, which introduce a new light signature.
It is powerful, aggressive and fierce, like other models in the Peugeot range. The plastic protections are present in the lower part of the bumper, which now has a new design, wheel arches and side sills.
Precisely, from the side profile of the Peugeot 2008 its sculpted and muscular forms are appreciated, with flat and clean surfaces. The flat roof, wide waistline and high shoulder height make the 2008 an SUV with a lot of presence.
Finally, the rear view features newly designed LED lights accompanied by a new typography for the 'PEUGEOT' and '2008' designations, a generous trunk lid and a bumper with decorative moldings that give it elegance and robustness in equal parts.

The interior of the Peugeot 2008 was responsible for introducing the new generation of the Peugeot i-Cockpit 3D on the market. The update of the Peugeot 2008 involves changes also in the cabin, the big novelty being the new 10" digital instrument panel, with new design and 3D graphics for the GT version, while the Active model retains an analog cluster.
The brand's advanced driving position features a compact steering wheel that offers improved handling and precision touch. The interior of the Peugeot 2008 SUV exudes an atmosphere of quality and advanced technology. You can choose, with elegant design seats, top-level finishes and a differentiating style in a segment marked by aesthetics. Depending on the version, the new 2008 uses materials that are pleasant to the touch in many places, such as Alcantara or Nappa leather.

There is also an ambient lighting system with eight color options, and versions equipped with a manual gearbox now have a knob with a more ergonomic design.
The cabin of the new 2008 can be configured in different upholstery options: black "Leorki" fabric with Calcite stitching for the Active version, black "Casual Lomsa" fabric with Quartz stitching for the Allure trim, black "Belomka" fabric with Adamite green stitching or Mistral 'Iconium' Alcantara seats with Adamite green stitching for the GT version.
Peugeot 2008 trunk
SUV design, versatile interior as the best family car. The Peugeot 2008 offers that undeniable character that makes the brand's vehicles interesting. Its exterior dimensions make it surprisingly spacious inside, where up to five passengers can travel comfortably. And, if necessary, they can carry all the luggage in the generous trunk of the Peugeot 2008 thanks to a volumetric capacity of 434 liters.
But that's not all. The versatility of the 2008's interior allows it to adapt to any situation and unforeseen circumstances. Thus, the new Peugeot B-SUV is equipped with easily folding rear seats that allow you to expand the cargo space of the trunk to triple its capacity. Once the rear seats are folded, the trunk has an impressive 1,467 liters, which makes it a benchmark in its segment.
Peugeot 2008 engines
Based on the new and efficient latest-generation Common Modular Platform (CMP), the new 2008 includes a wide range of engines with up to four different propulsion systems designed for each type of user: gasoline, diesel or electric. The powertrain family includes three- and four-cylinder units that comply with Euro 6d standards in terms of regulated emissions.
The offer includes three gasoline engines based on the efficient PureTech three-cylinder 1.2-liter propellant. The access version(PureTech 100) develops 100 hp of power and 205 Nm of torque, managed by a six-speed manual transmission, and with an average consumption of 5.5 l/100 km. The second option is the PureTech 130 version, with 130 hp of power, 230 Nm of torque and a choice of eight-speed EAT8 automatic transmission. The homologated consumption is 5.9 l/100 km.
In parallel, the range includes a four-cylinder 1.5 BlueHDi diesel version. This diesel engine, which has an average consumption of 5.0 l/100 km, develops 130 hp of power and 250 Nm of torque in its access option, which is available only with the efficient EAT8 automatic transmission.
At the beginning of 2024, the Peugeot 2008 engine range is expected to be extended with a new hybrid version. It will be called the 2008 48V Hybrid and will feature an electrified 136 hp PureTech engine with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and an ECO environmental label. This hybrid version will reduce fuel consumption by up to 15%.
Peugeot e-2008: 100% electric version
The fourth pillar in the Peugeot 2008 engine range is its 100% electric version. The Peugeot e-2008 is equipped with a new generation electric propulsion system, with a consumption and autonomy reference within its segment. For this reason, the Peugeot 2008 electric becomes one of the most interesting options on the market if you are looking for a technological, efficient and very capable SUV.
The propulsion system consists of a new 115 kW (156 hp) electric motor with 260 Nm of torque. The propulsion unit, which ensures great comfort of use in all everyday circumstances, is powered by a high-capacity 54 kWh battery. This unit ensures a range that can reach 406 kilometers and is covered by a full warranty of 8 years or 160,000 kilometers for 70% of its charge capacity.
In addition, Peugeot has equipped the new e-2008 with a fast charging system that allows 80% of the battery capacity to be reached in just 30 minutes when connected to a 100 kW public charger. If you recharge it at home, the electric 2008 will need between 5 hours and 15 minutes, and 8 hours when connected to a WallBox (three-phase 11 kW or single-phase 7.4 kW, respectively, although it also supports charging at 3.2 kW).
In addition, two intuitive braking energy recovery modes are available and can be accessed directly from the shift lever:
