The range of the new Peugeot 3008 has expanded its range of engines by adding a new plug-in hybrid version of access to range. Thus, the 3008 now includes up to three plug-in hybrid engines that combine performance and a great electric range with the environmental label Zero Emissions of the Directorate General of Traffic (DGT). The new range-entry option is called the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid 180.
This new range-entry Plug-in Hybrid engine joins the existing PureTech 130 gasoline engines, with manual or automatic transmission, the exclusive BlueHDi 130 with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the Hybrid 225 and Hybrid4 300 versions, both plug-in hybrids and automatic. The only Peugeot 3008 4×4 in the range is the Hybrid4 300 version that includes two electric motors, one of which is responsible for driving the rear wheels.

The great novelty within the range of Peugeot SUV is the addition of a new access version for plug-in hybrid engines. The Peugeot 3008 Hybrid 180 offers a practical balance between performance and efficiency. In addition, the basis of its propulsion system is identical to that of the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid 225.
Thus, the new 3008 Hybrid 180 equips a 1.6-liter PureTech 150 inline four-cylinder gasoline engine developing 150 hp of power and 300 Nm of torque. This gasoline engine is joined by a second electric motor of 81 kW (110 hp) and 320 Nm of torque powered by a 13.2 kWh lithium-ion battery. The entire system is managed by an e-EAT8 eight-speed automatic gearbox.
The big brother of the Peugeot 2008 develops a combined power output of 180 hp and a maximum torque of 360 Nm when both engines are combined. This enables the 3008 Hybrid 180 to achieve a combined fuel consumption (WLTP) of 1.4 l/100 km, as well as totalCO2 emissions of just 31 g/km. Similarly, consumption in electric mode is 15.7 kWh/100 km and the total range reaches 59 kilometers on a single charge.
Once the battery charge is depleted, the new 3008 Hybrid 180 can be driven using only its gasoline engine, which also acts as a generator to charge the battery. You can also recharge at home, using a Wallbox with different levels of electrical power, or from a quick charge point that reduces the charging process to just a few minutes. The battery also offers a warranty of 8 years or 160,000 kilometers (100,000 miles) that ensures 70% of its charge capacity.
What does the new Peugeot 3008 Hybrid 180 offer?
The Peugeot 3008 Hybrid 180 with Zero Emissions label is a practical, quality and very equipped compact SUV. This model has a body of 4.44 meters long and 1.62 meters high that includes an interior for five passengers and a trunk of 395 liters of expandable capacity by folding the backrests of the rear seats, which are divided in proportion 40:60.
In terms of exterior design, the Peugeot 3008 received an aesthetic update in 2021 that introduced changes mainly at the front. It sports a more aggressive and sophisticated style, with new headlights and a grille adopted by other models in the range, such as the Peugeot 5008. The bodywork is available in six different colors: Celebes Blue, Black Pearl Nera, Artense Grey, Platinum Grey, Ultimate Red and Pearlescent White.
The interior of the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid 180 is avant-garde and high quality. The new generation Peugeot i-Cockpit is the protagonist, with a compact steering wheel, a digital instrument panel located in an elevated position to improve visibility and a central touch screen for the infotainment system. Two cloth upholstery options are standard, as well as 18" Detroit wheels with diamond finish.
