This ensures that the interior of the SUV is quieter thanks to technology that detects external frequencies and automatically emits a compensating sound through the audio system to reduce overall noise levels in the cabin to a minimum of 4 dB.
Electrified engine range
The 2023 Range Rover Velar powertrain lineup has been updated to offer improved performance, performance and efficiency. The offering includes the latest generation of Ingenium diesel engines with 48-volt Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) technology that increases both efficiency and power, while providing access to the DGT's ECO badge.
The offer includes a 3.0-liter, in-line six-cylinder Ingenium D300 diesel engine delivering 300 hp of power and 650 Nm of torque, as well as a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine (D200) developing 204 hp of power. These engines are equipped with sequential turbochargers and advanced gas treatment systems for efficiency and low fuel consumption without sacrificing performance.
In addition to these efficient diesel engines, the mechanical range of the Range Rover Velar 2023 is completed with a plug-in hybrid version. The Velar P400e combines a 2.0-liter Ingenium gasoline engine with 300 hp and a 105 kW electric drive. Total power is 404 hp with 640 Nm of torque managed by an eight-speed automatic transmission.
This propulsion system with Zero Emissions label of the DGT joins a larger battery of 19.2 kWh with which the Velar PHEV can homologate up to 64 kilometers of range in 100% electric mode (WLTP cycle). Moreover, it does so with an average fuel consumption of just 1.6 l/100 km andCO2 emissions of just 38 g/km. Moreover, when the battery is depleted, it is possible to charge it from a 50 kWh charger in 30 minutes (from 0% to 80% of its level).
