02.04.2014. MERCEDES-BENZ SALVAGE LABEL - Grupo Concesur

Mercedes-Benz launches a rescue tag in the form of a QR code, for quicker access to the vehicle's file in the event of an accident.

Daimler is the first car manufacturer to incorporate this premise with a small but effective innovation. The idea is to make safety-relevant information available to rescue teams at the accident scene as quickly as possible.

Simply scan the code using your smartphone or tablet, and rescue teams can immediately see where the battery, fuel tank, airbags, electrical cables and other critical components are located to perform the rescue. This saves rescue teams valuable seconds to react faster and more skillfully to save critically injured lives.

These labels can now be easily installed and are already available for passenger cars. They are attached to the fuel tank cap.

The new S-Class was the first to incorporate it, although from now on, all new models will include it.
