29.07.2013 IT'S OFFICIAL: MERCEDES AMG AND ASTON MARTIN - Concesur Group

For several months now, the rumor of a possible collaboration between Mercedes-Benz AMG and the British manufacturer Aston Martin, a somewhat explosive collaboration that has now been made official by both parties, has been circulating on the web.

Aston Martin will enjoy in the very near future the V8 engines of the German manufacturer AMG, produced exclusively for them. In addition, the British brand will be able to use the electrical and electronic architecture components that have been developed for the new V8 engine series.

They are also expected to sign a supplyagreement between Mercedes-Benz AMG GmbH, Aston Martin and Daimler AG. 

In favor of the Germans, Daimler could take up to 5% of the British company.

Ola Källenius, head of Mercedes-AMG GmbH has stated that they are very proud to work with a company like Aston Martin, realizing that "This proves AMG's technological expertise and a true win-win situation for both parties".
