The Mercedes-Benz CLS model turns ten years old and celebrates it with its renewal - Grupo Concesur

Coinciding with the tenth anniversary of the launch of the CLS model, with which Mercedes-Benz inaugurated the coupe sedan or 4-door coupe segment, the star firm renews the Mercedes-Benz CLS, making it once again a benchmark in luxury and technology.

The attractive and fluid exterior design of the new Mercedes CLS, both in saloon and Shooting Brake version, has hardly needed changes compared to its predecessor, which enjoyed a totally spectacular and distinctive look. These small tweaks are reduced to a new front grille, some changes in the air intakes of the front bumper, and new rear lights, in addition to being able to optionally equip the modern and sophisticated front lights with Multibeam LED technology.

This new Multibeam LED technology is a prodigy in road lighting systems, capable of ensuring the best lighting in any traffic situation, all without dazzling other vehicles on the road. Thanks to a camera and up to four control units, the 24 LEDs that make up these optics, adjust their brightness depending on the traffic on the road, the sinuosity of the same or even, in collaboration with the navigation system, improve the intensity of illumination at traffic circles and intersections.

In the interior of the new CLS range, we find subtle changes that enhance the luxury and sportiness of the model. We highlight the new 8-inch color screen, a new 3-spoke sports steering wheel design, up to 5 possible interior colors and 6 different types of inserts.

The complete range of engines is also modernized, now all of them comply with the Euro 6 standard. There are new additions, both in diesel and gasoline versions. The main protagonist of the diesel innovations is the new CLS 220 BlueTEC with four cylinders and two-stage turbocharger, capable of developing 170 hp of power. While in the gasoline range highlights the CLS 400, a twin-turbo V6 of 333 hp. Likewise, the 4matic all-wheel drive also extends to the CLS 250 BlueTEC 4MATIC and CLS 400 4MATIC. Not to mention the Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG, which will be available in 2 power levels: 557 and 585 hp.

The new connectivity and multimedia features are generous. The COMAND On line system allows access to useful applications such as Google Street View, access to social networks and improved connectivity of the multimedia system with Apple devices. On the other hand, the navigation system is available in 3D, and has the ability to display satellite images from NASA, and even Google Maps.
