Jeep's next-generation hybrid powertrain combines the efficiency of electric mobility with the performance of a turbocharged gasoline engine.

Thus, the new Wrangler 4xe is equipped with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine as a base. This engine develops 272 hp of power and 400 Nm of torque. The gasoline unit is combined with another electric motor on the front axle, with 107 kW (145 hp) of power. The result of combining both engines is a power output of 380 hp and a maximum torque of 637 Nm from 3,000 rpm.

The electric motor is powered by a new-generation lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 17.3 kWh. This combination allows a combined range in 100% electric mode of 45 kilometers, or more than 53 kilometers in urban cycle. In addition, the Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid can charge its battery in just 2 hours from a 7.2 kW outlet. The consumption of the Jeep Wrangler hybrid is only 2.0 l/100 km.
