Land Rover Defender 130: exclusive all-terrain vehicle for up to 8 passengers

The new Land Rover Defender 130 is a luxury SUV ideal for up to 8 passengers to enjoy the adventure. The most capable version of the Defender is also capable off-road, with world-class 4×4 performance, advanced technology to make off-road driving easier and all the luxury that characterizes Land Rover models.

This new addition perfectly defines the characteristics of Land Rover's iconic 4×4, and adds a versatile and versatile interior with a large capacity, with three rows of seats and a maximum load capacity of more than 2,500 liters. Exterior design

Few are the details that identify the Land Rover Defender 130 as a version different from the rest of the range. This new model is characterized by a rear that has been extended by 340 mm to increase the space inside. The rear overhang has been extended, allowing the integration of a third row of seats and a spacious cargo compartment. In this area, the bodywork has been raised to preserve the off-road capability of the model, with a departure angle of 28.5 degrees.

In addition to its new proportions, the Defender 130 is now available with an exclusive new exterior color option called Sedona Red. While all Defender models feature a panoramic sunroof as standard, the 130 version includes a second sunroof located over the third row. The LED taillights have also been redesigned.

Styling details such as the standard Narvik Black hard spare wheel cover and roof rails define the exterior of the Land Rover Defender 130. A choice of four styling packages - Explorer, Adventure, Country and Urban - is available, while the optional Extended Bright Pack adds Ceres Silver Satin finish to the underbody. Luna 20" alloy wheels complete the panorama.

8-passenger interior

The interior of the Land Rover Defender 130 offers luxury, high-end finishes and an enlarged rear that has allowed the addition of a third row with three comfortable seats for three adults. These passengers enjoy heated seats, padded armrests, dedicated storage and USB-C sockets for charging mobile devices. It also includes adapted floor mats, a four-zone climate control and good visibility thanks to the windows and the second sunroof.

Access to the third row of seats is very easy. The second-row seats slide forward and fold flat to provide ample access. From the tailgate, the air suspension can be lowered with dedicated controls located inside the cargo area, making it easy to place items in the trunk.

With all seats available, the trunk of the Land Rover Defender 130 offers 389 liters of capacity. When not needed, the backrests of the rear seats, divided in 40:20:40 configuration, can be folded down, increasing the volume to 1,232 liters. Finally, the second row can also be folded down to 2,291 liters. In the five-seat Defender 130 version, the trunk capacity is between 1,329 and 2,516 liters.

In addition, some highlights of the Defender 130 interior include power seats, wood trim, perforated Windsor leather upholstery, the Pivi Pro infotainment system with 11.4" touchscreen, the navigation system with the what3words platform and a cabin air purification system, among others.

Engine range

The new Land Rover Defender 130 is available in a powerful and efficient range of electrified engines with Mild Hybrid (MHEV) technology. This technology, available on Land Rover's range of six-cylinder Ingenium engines, offers outstanding responsiveness and efficiency. It incorporates an integrated 48-volt belt-driven electric motor-generator system that recovers energy normally lost during braking or deceleration and then stores it for use on the road, making the Stop-Start system quicker and more efficient.

The engine range includes the P400 MHEV gasoline version. This is a 3.0-liter in-line six-cylinder engine with 400 hp and 520 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the D250 MHEV version is also a 3.0-liter turbodiesel in-line six-cylinder engine with 250 hp and 600 Nm of torque. All engines are available with an 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system with the efficiency typical of Land Rover models.

The new Defender 130 is equipped as standard with an electric air suspension that offers 430 mm articulation with an additional 71.5 mm lift at the front and 73.5 mm at the rear. This gives the Defender 130 a water fording height of up to 900 mm. The new model's off-road performance is managed by Land Rover's Terrain Response system, perfecting the off-road experience from the Pivi Pro display. In addition, the Defender 130 has a towing capacity of up to 3,000 kilograms.
