Thus, Peugeot has presented the new generation of the famous i-Cockpit, a panoramic evolution that integrates important developments to enhance the driving experience a new generation of Peugeot cars. The new generation Peugeot i-Cockpit incorporates an impressive 21" high-definition curved panoramic screen. Floating above the dashboard, this new screen extends from the far left to the center console. It has been ergonomically positioned in a slightly curved position, allowing the driver to have better visibility of the comprehensive information displayed on this screen.

The floating effect is accentuated by an LED ambient lighting system located below the display and the new display offers two well-defined functions. On the left side, above the steering wheel, is the instrument cluster with all driving-related information: speed, power indicator, driving aids, energy flow...

On the right, the new i-Cockpit Panoramic integrates the touch section in a more central position so that all passengers have a better field of vision. New architecture, steering wheel and touch-sensitive i-Toggles

This monitor is accompanied by an uncluttered center console that increases the space available for storage and wireless charging of smartphones.

A major change occurs in the location of the automatic gearbox control, which has been moved to the dashboard, to the right of the steering wheel, right next to the car's stop/start button. This control is now perfectly ergonomic and allows easy access to both the vehicle's transmission control and the button to start the engine with a single intuitive gesture.

In addition, the new i-Toggles located in the central part of the dashboard stand out. These are fully customizable touch buttons that can be configured for quick access to up to 10 of the driver's favorite functions. You can program the i-Toggles to, for example, call a specific contact, start navigation to a frequent destination, tune the radio to your favorite station or adjust the climate control to certain parameters.

Finally, the new Peugeot i-Cockpit with panoramic design integrates a compact steering wheel with newly designed touch controls. Its aesthetics are now more modern, with a redesigned smaller central pad that is isolated from the spokes to offer a levitating effect similar to the 21" curved panoramic screen.

Meanwhile, the compact steering wheel controls are now tactile and offer improved ergonomics for the user. The buttons automatically detect the driver's fingers, although they are only activated when pressed, thus avoiding activating functions by mistake. In addition, there are two new controls behind the steering wheel.

Interior quality leap

The arrival of the new Peugeot i-Cockpit Panoramic not only involves integrating new functions, a larger screen and a new steering wheel design. It also brings with it a significant leap in quality for the interior, both aesthetically and in terms of finishes and materials.

Thus, the new 3008 will be responsible for the premiere of a new ambient lighting system that extends across the entire width of the dashboard and door panels. This lighting is reflected in the aluminum trim and is fully customizable with up to eight different colors.
