Range Rover Evoque 2023: new design with more technology and efficiency

The Range Rover Evoque is one of Land Rover's most successful SUVs. The premium compact model offers a sleek design, balanced proportions, a luxurious interior and a sophisticated range of electrified powertrains. With the new Range Rover Evoque 2023, all these features have been enhanced.

Land Rover presents a major update for the Evoque SUV. Through this update, the new Evoque 2023 now offers improvements in the infotainment and technology section, an exterior design that reaches perfection, an even more exclusive interior and a range of engines which highlights the plug-in hybrid models with Zero Emissions and Mild Hybrid environmental label ECO.

Range Rover Evoque 2023, an optimized design

The first point where it presents changes in the Range Rover Evoque 2023 is in its design. It is a subtle evolution of its minimalist aesthetics which highlights the new front grille and ultra-thin headlights with LED pixel technology, which offers a sharper vision, greater light capacity and new daytime running lights sculpted design.

The new exterior also includes the new colors Arroios Grey, Tribeca Blue and Corinthian Bronze. These paints, as well as the rest of the chromatic range, can be combined with the contrasting Narvik Black or Corinthian Bronze roof. The final distinctive touch is provided by eight alloy wheel designs up to 21" and five new finishes, plus the option of mirror polished finish on the Evoque Autobiography and Dynamic HSE models.

Vegan leather interior

The interior of the Range Rover Evoque 2023 also has some improvements. The most prominent is the new design of the center console, placed higher and closer to the driver to free up storage space and include a wireless charger for mobile devices.

The new console houses a new touch-sensitive shifter on automatic transmission models and a new 11.4" touch screen with curved glass that provides access to the Pivi Pro infotainment system.

Along with the optional panoramic roof, the interior of the new Evoque now features tactile and vegan fabrics. It is the first SUV in its class to offer vegan Kvadrat wool and perforated Ultrafabrics Ebony fabric as an alternative to leather, as well as polyurethane accents incorporating a unique new perforation technique.

Also new is the Moonlight Chrome steering wheel, matching the center console surround and air intakes, a shade that complements the new trim finishes. These include Technical Light Anodised or Dark Anodised Aluminum, while the Shadow Grey Ash trim is exclusive to Range Rover Evoque Autobiography.

The latest in technology and connectivity

The new Range Rover Evoque adopts the technological and connectivity advances of the new Range Rover Velar 2023. New features include the new generation Pivi pro infotainment system and a new 11.4" touchscreen with curved glass.

New side bars with sliding controls allow you to control climate control, seating and sound volume options. They also give you direct access to frequently used functions, such as temperature controls, front seat, cameras, navigation or volume.

The new-generation infotainment system features a home screen with three customizable panels, and 80% of tasks can now be performed with just a couple of taps on the screen.

Connectivity has also been refined, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the wireless charging function for mobile devices offers fast charging and avoids the use of cables.

Another connectivity solution is the Wi-Fi network that passengers in the Evoque 2023 have access to, as well as Amazon's Alexa, which is seamlessly integrated into the Pivi Pro system and can be activated by simply saying "Alexa" or pressing the dedicated button on the touchscreen.

Finally, in the technological section, the system for measuring the quality of the interior air and its purification through Nanoe X technology stands out, as well as the new LED headlights with dynamic curve headlights that use speed and direction data to adjust to the road and illuminate corners and dark edges, bringing the range of the high beam lights up to almost half a kilometer.

A range of electrified engines

Although no new features are included in the engine section of the Range Rover Evoque 2023, highlights the offer of electrified engines of the compact SUV. It has plug-in hybrid and Mild Hybrid versions, highlighting the P300e plug-in hybrid electric performance and electric range.

This model has a range of up to 62 kilometers in 100% electric mode thanks to a 14.9 kWh battery. It also develops a combined power of 309 hp thanks to its Ingenium gasoline engine and an 80 kW electric drive.

In addition, the Range Rover Evoque P300e includes direct current (DC) fast charging that allows 80% of the battery level to be reached in just 30 minutes. With a 7 kW home charger, charging (0 to 100%) is completed in just over two hours.

The mechanical range is completed by advanced diesel and gasoline engines Mild Hybrid. With this technology, the new Evoque 2023 improves efficiency and reactivity. It integrates a belt-driven electric motor-generator and a 48-volt lithium-ion battery that is charged during braking and deceleration. It also offers improved Start-Stop operation for greater fuel economy.

Safety and driving assistance

The last area in which the Range Rover Evoque 2023 presents improvements is in safety and driving assistance, with many of the technologies adopted from the Range Rover. The new model now features the Adaptive Dynamics system, which ensures optimum suspension stiffness in all conditions, improving comfort and handling.

To this must be added the Terrain Response 2 system. This system, accessible from Pivi Pro, allows the driver to configure the vehicle's settings to suit the driving environment with Eco, Comfort, Grass/Gravel/Snow, Mud/Surf, Sand, Dynamic and Auto modes. Its performance is further enhanced by the intelligent torque-on-demand all-wheel drive system.
