Fiat 600 Hybrid, after the electric 600 comes the 48-volt hybrid version

The new Fiat 600e is an interesting electric crossover with more than 400 kilometers of homologated range that complements Fiat's range of electric vehicles. Now, in addition, its range of engines is expanded with the addition of the 48-volt hybrid version, the new Fiat 600 Hybrid.

Sharing attributes with the 100% electric version, the 600 hybrid is the ideal choice if you are looking for efficiency and fuel economy without worrying about recharging the battery. As practical as Fiat's 600 SUV, the hybrid version is equipped with a new high-performance MHEV Mild-Hybrid engine coupled with a 5-passenger interior and a 385-liter trunk capacity.

This is how the propulsion system of the new Fiat 600 Hybrid looks like

Equipped with a hybrid propulsion system, the 600 Hybrid has a three-cylinder, 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that develops 100 hp. The engine is coupled to a new six-speed dual-clutch electric transmission that includes the 21 kW (28 hp) electric motor in its housing. The whole assembly is powered by a 48-volt lithium-ion battery.

This mechanical configuration allows the DGT ECO-labeled hybrid SUV to enjoy improved performance thanks to the extra boost provided by the electric motor. It also offers a silent start in 100% electric mode and improved fuel consumption along with a reduction of up to 15% inCO2 emissions compared to a traditional gasoline engine.

The 600 Hybrid has also been designed to offer a comfortable and pleasant driving experience. The entire system is automated, i.e. there is no need to change driving mode, monitor battery range or stop to charge. The electric energy to recharge the battery is obtained through the gasoline engine or the regenerative braking system, which is part of the standard equipment.

On the other hand, the new six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox provides a high level of driving comfort, with great response and smooth gear changes. And with the extra power provided by the electric motor, the 600 hybrid can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 11 seconds, with virtually instantaneous electric torque delivery.

Advantages of 100% electric driving

Among the many advantages of the Fiat 600 Hybrid's electrified technology is its electric driving mode. Smooth and quiet, Fiat's crossover can be driven with the gasoline engine off in certain situations, whether in urban or highway driving.

Below 30 km/h, the Fiat 600 hybrid can drive in fully electric mode up to a range of 1 km in smooth driving. For this purpose, two specific functions have been designed to extract the maximum potential from the hybrid system of Fiat's SUV.

The e-creeping e-creeping function is one of them and allows you to make a series of short forward movements without pressing the accelerator, using only electric power. It is especially useful, for example, in a traffic jam. The second function is called e-parking and is designed to perform all parking maneuvers in 100% electric mode. It can be used in both first and reverse gear.

The best of the Fiat 600 Hybrid

The new Fiat 600 Hybrid offers a large size with 4.17 meters of body length, 5 doors and a 385-liter trunk. It also has up to 15 liters of interior storage and the range-entry version features exclusive recycled fabric seats with white accents, and an eco-friendly plastic dashboard finished in matte black.

The new Fiat 600 Hybrid La Prima offers style, technology and 100% comfort. It is packed with state-of-the-art safety features and driving aids.

To this must be added Fiat's new connected services, which come in the form of two packages for the 600 Hybrid. The first, the Connect One package, is part of the standard equipment and includes both assistance and emergency call services, as well as information that provides monthly data on the vehicle's status.

The second package is called Connect Plus and integrates navigation services, functions to remotely manage the vehicle through the FIAT app, to monitor driving style and much more. It also offers the Trip Report, with which you can analyze driving habits and improve the impact on consumption, assessing your environmental footprint and the impact of your driving style.

The new Fiat 600 Hybrid will soon be available at Automares dealerships, official Fiat centers for the province of Seville of Grupo Concesur.
