New Mercedes V-Class and EQV 2024, plus of elegance and equipment

The Mercedes V-Class and its electric variant, the Mercedes EQV, are synonymous with luxury, exclusivity and comfort. Designed as a high-end mobility solution, both models combine the great habitability of a minivan with up to 8 seats with the quality of the finishes and the advanced equipment of Mercedes-Benz. Now, all these attributes are reinforced in the new Mercedes V-Class and EQV 2024.

This major update comes at a key time as Mercedes-Benz faces the final stage before introducing the upcoming Van Electric Architecture (VAN.EA), a modular and scalable platform that will enable the brand to meet its electrification targets in the commercial and passenger van sector from 2026.

Mercedes V-Class and EQV 2024: sleeker exterior design

As part of the renewal of the V-Class and EQV, Mercedes has introduced a new exterior design on both models. The new front styling is mainly characterized by a renewed radiator grille, which gains in size and presence giving a much more exclusive and elegant look to the exterior. Depending on the equipment level, the grille may be surrounded by an LED light strip that provides a more modern style.

In addition to the revised bumper, the brand's new minivans can now include the prestigious vertical star on the hood for the first time. MULTIBEAM adaptive LED headlamps are now also available as standard and as an option, while at the rear there is now a chrome trim with the Mercedes-Benz badge and LED lights with a new design.

The range now includes five new wheel designs of 17", 18" and 19", and four new paints for the exterior: hightech silver metallic, Kalahari gold metallic, alpine grey and vintage blue. In addition, the new V-Class is available in three equipment lines, Style, Avantgarde and Exclusive, in addition to the AMG Line package and the optional Night Package.

Technological revolution in the interior

In line with the exterior changes, Mercedes-Benz has introduced numerous new features in the interior of the V-Class and EQV. With a clear focus on digitalization, the cabin now offers a set of two 12.3" widescreen displays for the instrumentation and for the MBUX infotainment system. Also new are the air vents and the new-generation steering wheel with capacitive recognition.

The MBUX infotainment system brings numerous intelligent functions to the driver and passengers of the new Mercedes V-Class and EQV 2024. The digital and interactive experience is enhanced with the "Hey Mercedes!" voice assistant, which has been optimized in this update; the possibility of creating personal profiles and specific parking assistance functions displayed on the central screen, among others.

On the other hand, the center console has been redesigned and this has made it possible to integrate wireless charging for smartphones. Other new features include keyless start, a heated steering wheel and ambient lighting with 64 colors, which in the rear cabin offers a dimming function for night driving. For improved comfort, rear passengers now have a sliding door on the left side as standard.

Engine range

The engine offer of the new Mercedes V-Class 2024 is based on the proven and efficient 2.0-liter OM654 diesel engine, a reliable mechanics offered in three different power levels: 163 hp, 190 hp and 237 hp. In all three cases, the engine is linked to an automatic gearbox 9G-TRONIC and the possibility of equipping 4MATIC all-wheel drive as an option.

The Mercedes EQV 2024, meanwhile, is available with an electric motor with 150 kW (204 hp) of power that offers two lithium-ion battery options: 60 kWh and 90 kWh. This allows to homologate a range of 227-247 kilometers in the first case, and 344-365 kilometers in the second configuration.

At the same time, the new EQV offers different charging options. With alternating current (AC) it is possible to charge at home or at public charging stations up to 11 kW, while charging with direct current (DC) is up to 110 kW, allowing to go from 10% to 80% of the battery level in about 40 minutes.

The latest in technology, security and connectivity

The new Mercedes V-Class and EQV 2024 benefit from the latest technological advances of the brand. Among them is the renewed MBUX infotainment system that provides access to a multitude of features. Highlights include the Music Streaming feature, which allows you to enjoy your favorite music thanks to Spotify, navigation with augmented reality and the ENERGIZING comfort control that debuts for the first time in Mercedes-Benz minivans.

In the new EQV 2024, the Mercedes me Charge service provides access to one of the largest public charging networks in Europe with more than 620,000 charging points, including the IONITY network. Another feature debuting on the new EQV is intelligent electric navigation that allows routes to be planned based on range and charging times. Also noteworthy are the free maintenance management services, accident and breakdown management, and remote vehicle diagnostics through the Mercedes me App.

Finally, the new V-Class and EQV 2024 have the most advanced safety and driver assistance systems. Technologies such as the active braking assistant, the new parking package with 360-degree camera and trailer maneuvering assistant, or the 11 standard airbags raise the safety of both models to a new level.

Not to be forgotten are other driver assistance technologies that are part of the standard equipment of both models, such as the driving light assistant with rain sensor, the active distance assistant, the active braking assistant with cross-traffic function, the blind spot assistant, the lane keeping assistant and the driver attention assistant.
