The new Mercedes Citan 2022 officially begins sales. The new generation of the compact and multipurpose van from Mercedes Benz debuts in Van and Tourer versions, with extensive standard equipment, the latest technical advances in safety and a range of powerful and efficient engines.

Also available in electric version, thanks to the New Mercedes eCitan 2022, the new generation joins the family of new Mercedes. It does so with solid arguments that make the New Citan a solid bet for both the professional and private customer. Main features of the Mercedes Citan 2022

The new Mercedes Citan Tourer 2022 offers reduced dimensions with a large amount of space for passengers and cargo. Occupants enjoy a high level of comfort, great functionality and versatility in a vehicle with a comprehensive safety equipment and a great ride comfort.

All these features are packed into a new Mercedes van of 4.49 meters in length designed both for the professional customer who needs a work vehicle that combines load capacity with habitability for up to five occupants, and for the private customer and families who love leisure and free time looking for a versatile, comfortable, safe vehicle with ample possibilities of customization for daily use.

The sliding side doors have an opening of 615 millimeters on both sides, ideal for parking in narrow spaces. The Citan Tourer has a tailgate with a rear window as standard and, as an alternative, a double rear door with an opening of up to 180 degrees is also available. The rear bench seats can be divided and folded down, while the interior includes numerous shelves and storage compartments. As an option, the interior of the Citan can be equipped with tables in the front seat backs.

Safety is also a key aspect of the new Citan 2022. It offers child seat anchorages compliant with the i-Size standard with ISOFIX and TopTether anchorages on the rear side seats and the front passenger seat. It also includes numerous options designed to enhance on-board comfort. THERMOTRONIC dual-zone climate control, electric parking brake and multifunction steering wheel are just some of them. Meanwhile, the MBUX infotainment system with 7" touchscreen is responsible for providing connectivity, information and entertainment to driver and passengers.

Mercedes Citan engine range

The family of engines available for the new Mercedes Citan includes efficient and efficient four-cylinder diesel and gasoline engines. The diesel versions include the 108 CDI (only available in Van), a dynamic 1.5-liter engine that offers 75 hp power as an entry-level option. Above that, the Citan 110 CDI (Furgon and Tourer) increases power to 95 hp, while the Citan 112 CDI (Furgon) reaches 116 hp. All diesel engines are available with six-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive.

The alternative are the two powerful gasoline versions of the new Citan. This offer includes the Citan 110, with a 1.33-liter engine developing 102 hp, and the Citan 113, the most dynamic version of the range. It is based on the same engine, but with an output of 131 hp. Both engines are offered with a six-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive.
