The Mercedes EQS SUV is the new member of the Mercedes-EQ range of 100% electric vehicles. With the new EQS SUV, Mercedes Benz fully enters a new concept of electric mobility and luxury, adopting the technological, connectivity and safety solutions of the EQS, and combining them with a robust SUV body with great habitability, capacity for up to 7 passengers and a spacious trunk.
Engines, battery and autonomy
The new EQS SUV shares technical characteristics with the EQS electric sedan from Mercedes-EQ. Therefore, its powertrain range derives directly from the sedan, offering two 100% electric propulsion systems that combine the best performance with high levels of efficiency and maximum range per charge.
The access option, the Mercedes EQS 450 4MATIC, equips two electric motors with a combined power of 265 kW (360 hp) and 800 Nm of torque. A battery capacity of 108.4 kWh allows the EQS SUV to homologate a maximum range (WLTP) of 598 kilometers in combined cycle, or 687 kilometers in urban cycle with a consumption of 20.7 kWh/100 km.
The second version is the Mercedes EQS 580 4MATIC and, like the EQS 450 4MATIC, equips a propulsion system composed of two electric motors with a combined power of 400 kW (544 hp) and a maximum torque of 858 Nm. The most powerful option of the range goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and with the 108.4 kWh battery can travel up to 595 kilometers in combined cycle, or 681 kilometers strictly in the city, with a homologated consumption of 20.8 kWh/100 km.
The Mercedes EQS SUV 2023 is available with 4MATIC all-wheel drive in either of its two versions, offering enhanced performance and ensuring the highest safety standards.
