The Mercedes EQS SUV is easily recognizable at the design level as a model of the Mercedes EQ range. The aesthetics of the new luxury electric SUV is inspired by the Mercedes EQS and the new Mercedes EQE, adopting features such as the radiator grille 'Black Panel' with a three-dimensional pattern of stars called Mercedes-Benz Pattern, or LED headlights with optional integrated DIGITAL LIGHT technology.

But the EQS SUV includes elements characteristic of SUV models, such as muscular wheel arches with plastic wheel guards, reinforced bumpers, decorative moldings and side sills. The light strip with LED lights in a three-dimensional helix design is another styling component typical of Mercedes EQ models, as are the flush-fitting handles that improve aerodynamics and give a cleaner look to the sleek surfaces of the EQS.
