The new Mercedes GLC is available with a range of engines that includes gasoline and diesel engines with 48-volt micro-hybrid technology and environmental label ECO of the DGT. Among these advanced internal combustion engines are the 204 hp GLC 200 4MATIC and 258 hp GLC 300 4MATIC gasoline versions, both with all-wheel drive and a nine-speed 9G-TRONIC automatic gearbox.

Within the GLC range you can also choose between two efficient four-cylinder diesel engines. On the one hand, the GLC 220 d 4MATIC develops 197 hp and achieves an average consumption of only 5.2 l/100 km. On the other hand, the GLC 300 d 4MATIC version is the most powerful of the engine range thanks to its 269 h p, all-wheel drive and a fuel consumption of just 5.6 l/100 km. The diesel engines of the Mercedes GLC 2023 also feature the 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission as standard.

The third pillar within the range of engines of the new GLC is its plug-in hybrid variant with Zero Emissions label of the DGT, called Mercedes GLC 300 e 4MATIC. Its mechanical configuration makes it the Mercedes plug-in hybrid with more autonomy in electric mode, a new generation of Plug-in Hybrid vehicles with EQ Power technology that combines in the same vehicle an outstanding performance and maximum performance with zero emissions. All the technical characteristics of the Mercedes GLC 300 e 4MATIC

The Mercedes GLC 300 e 4MATIC is, therefore, the Mercedes plug-in hybrid with greater electric range of the range. This version is equipped with a powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder gasoline engine that develops, by itself, a power of 204 hp with 320 Nm of torque. This gasoline engine is associated, as in the rest of the range of GLC engines, to a nine-speed automatic gearbox 9G-TRONIC that sends the power to a 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.

Next to the gasoline engine is an electric drive located at the front of the GLC that develops an output of 100 kW (136 hp) and a maximum torque of 440 Nm. The engine is powered by a new-generation lithium-ion battery with an energy capacity of 31.2 kWh that is located in the rear of the vehicle, under the trunk floor. All this, without giving up the generous 470 liters of trunk capacity offered by the Mercedes GLC plug-in hybrid.

The combination of the two engines produces a total output of 230 kW (313 hp) and a maximum torque of 550 Nm. These figures enable the GLC 300 e 4MATIC to offer top-level performance, with 0 to 100 km/h completed in 6.7 seconds and a top speed of 218 km/h (218 mph).

And not only that, as it is also an efficient vehicle thanks to a range in 100% electric mode. It is approved for 121 kilometers according to the WLTP protocol, a figure that increases to 130 kilometers in the urban cycle. Average fuel consumption is 0.5 l/100 km, with_CO2 emissions of just 12 g/km and average electricity consumption of 20.4 kWh/100 km.
