Evatran Plugless Power is the first wireless charging system for electric vehicles that has begun to be used and tested in the city of Los Angeles, with vehicles such as the new Nissan Leaf, a 100% electric car.

The tests are being carried out with two major partners: the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and Google, which has already begun to use this technology in its parking lots.

The system consists of setting up a parking space with an Evatram wireless recharging base on the ground, with the intention that it can be used daily by workers, all to achieve the goal of marketing this system to both public companies and individuals in early 2013.

This technology is capable of recharging 3.3 Kw or 6.6 Kw of power and with an overall efficiency of 91%.
