Last Monday, May 20, the Director General of the DGT María Seguí stated during the presentation of the book "Mortalidad de jóvenes en accidentes de tráfico" by Julio Laria de Vals, that the DGT plans to study raising the age to start driving or to implement a gradual system so that young people are incorporated to driving in a staggered manner.

Although, according to Seguí, the debate to raise the driving age is an old one, the DGT will not stop studying it even though it is not a priority right now.

All this with the aim of putting an end to the high accident rates and to improve the driving and training of young people.

We hope that this will be the case.
