The automotive industry has undergone a severe change of course in recent years. In a short time we have gone from the war between brands to offer the most powerful or radical cars, to the battle to offer the most sustainable and environmentally friendly cars. Mercedes-Benz as a reference brand, has not been less and is dedicating a superhuman effort to be at the forefront of this new trend.

While other brands have limited themselves to developing futuristic vehicles that sometimes are not very useful for everyday use, Mercedes-Benz has developed a multitude of alternative vehicles that meet almost any need. Today in Grupo Concesur we present the complete "ecofriendly" range of Mercedes-Benz.

This ecological offer starts from the Mercedes-Benz B-Class. In addition to the usual gasoline and diesel versions, we will also find two green versions. The first of these is the B-Class 200 Natural Gas Drive, a bifuel vehicle (gasoline and Compressed Natural Gas) that offers a similar performance to its gasoline equivalent providing great savings in its use, given the economy of CNG fuel, allowing us to travel 100 kilometers for just under 5 €.

The second of these B-Class we are talking about is even more economical. This is the B-Class Electric Drive, a 100% electric with 180 hp power is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.4 seconds, and provide a range of 200 km. All this with zero CO2 emissions and even 500 liters of trunk space.

If we go up a step in the range, we will find the C-Class C300 BlueTec Hybrid, available in both 4-door body and Estate. This new C-Class is emerging as the access model to the Mercedes-Benz diesel hybrid technology. It stands out for offering great performance in any type of route, either urban, where we will especially enjoy its quiet electric motor, or intercity, on long trips on the highway where the 204 hp Bluetec diesel engine and 7G-Tronic Plus gearbox bring out its full potential.

The different propulsion alternatives are duplicated from the C-Class to the E-Class, maintaining their arrangement in the two bodies: sedan and Estate. The Mercedes-Benz E 200 Natural Gas Dive, incorporates the same type bifuel mechanical B-Class with which it shares name, giving this iconic sedan all the savings and smoothness of driving the CNG engines. The other alternative is the Mercedes-Benz E300 BlueTec Hybrid, which is equipped with the same engine as its "little brother" the C300 BlueTec Hybrid.

Arrived at the flagship of the brand, the S-Class, we will be eclipsed by its full representation of the most cutting-edge alternative propulsion systems. In this model hybrid options are the general trend, having up to 3 different mechanical of this type. First we find a gasoline hybrid, the S400 Hybrid, which we had the opportunity to test and delight us with its smoothness and performance. It also has a diesel hybrid variant, the S300 BlueTec Hybrid, which as you may have noticed is the most common mechanics within the hybrids of the star.

While the highlight is the S500 Plug-in Hybrid, a plug-in hybrid unique in its segment, which arrived at our dealerships in the last part of 2014. Unique, not only for its incredible technological load, but also for its efficiency, since this flagship of luxury, which has 442 hp of power, is able to homologate a mixed consumption of only 2.9 liters per 100 km. A record!

But if all this were not enough, the green family of the star will grow next spring, with the arrival in March of the expected Mercedes-Benz C350 Plug-in Hybrid 279 hp power. This is the scaled-down adaptation of all Plug-in Hybrid technology, which makes this C-Class one of the most efficient mid-size vehicles on the market, with an official average consumption of only 2.1 liters per 100.
