Since I have returned from vacation, day after day there are thousands of tasks I have to do at home. Since I arrived I had to reload the fridge, go to the malls to prepare the new course for the children, recover all the mails that I have received at work, thousands of meetings... An endless number of tasks that I have not been able to park and that have made that the post-holiday stress is real.
Everything is back to normal, back from the vacations.
Yesterday I had to buy the last materials for the new course, which starts next week. I got in the car and I still had sand inside the wonderful beaches where we had been. In fact, when I finished shopping, I had no room because the chair and the umbrella took up half the trunk. Then I thought, it was time to pick up everything that had to do with the vacations, because otherwise it would be a hard return to the routine. I decided to clean the car inside and out, and in turn, pick up everything I had inside.
I remembered that talking to a friend yesterday, he told me that after any trip, it was necessary to check the vehicle to avoid any problems. My traveling companion , this summer has taken me to the beach, the mountains, and to several barbecues at my friend's summer house. Car ready. Clean, perfect. Looks like new.
Now comes the hardest part. The internal inspectionI checked the oil, the coolant, the windshield washer fluid... Before going out on the road, I checked them, buthow are they now? The consumption must have been remarkable.
The windshields should be replaced because the sun has caused them to wear out and lose their cleaning properties. Next week, they also give water, I'd better replace them. This if I knew it was necessary, and the price of new ones is quite affordable, so I changed them. I have never been one to check the car myself, I always prefer the best professionals. My safety and the safety of mine, must be in good hands.
The general maintenance check is just around the corner, and now is the best time to do it. I prefer to have the mechanics take a look at it, after having punished it with long trips, and leave it as if nothing had happened.
I've always said that prevention will be the best way to avoid problems and, if your car has allowed you to have a good vacation, it's time to return the favor.
